Kevin Michael Costner, born on January 18, 1955, the youngest of three sons. He lived in Lynwood, California and went to school at Cabrello Jr. High School and Buena High School. He liked sports, played the piano, and sang in the church choir. After high school, he went on to California State University, Fullerton. When he finished college, he and Cindy Silva married; when coming home from their honeymoon, they met Richard Burton on the plane. Burton had purchased seats around him , because he wanted to be alone. From 1974-1986, he played in small parts in films and different commercials, but i n 1987, the big one came along, The Untouchables. His greatest movie was Dancing With the Wolves, in which he starred, directed and helped produced it. The movie won seven out of twelve nominations. He formed his band, Kevin Costner and Modern West in which he is the singer. In 2009, on a tour when it was time for him to go on stage, the stage collapsed from a storm. A woman was killed and an auction was held for the two children of the woman that was killed. Costner has six children; three with his first wife; they divorced in 1994; he has a a child with Bridget Rooney; and two children with his wife, Christine Baumgartner.
